  This week has held many unexpected and wonderful gifts and it has just started! I can't wait to share these details with you as things become more concrete, but I do have one exciting piece of news that I can tell you. We have our second confirmed non-profit organization on board! 

   Gorilla Stock is so proud to announce that our second non-profit organization is BeLoved! We cannot believe the gift that God has laid in our hands with this organization. It is our privilege to partner with our sellers to help fund the work of this organization. 

       BeLoved is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to connecting with and caring for women that are affected by the commercial sex industry. Their vision is to reach these BeLoved who are sex addicted, sex workers, or sex trafficked to let them know there is a God who loves them no matter who they are or what they have done. BeLoved gets to saturate these girls' and womens' lives with hope that there is a life that they never expected just waiting for them. 

        So, how does BeLoved do this? This organization does extensive outreach into the high risk population including strip clubs, porn conventions, massage parlors, and all places where you run into the sex industry and people affected by it. In outreach BeLoved gives gifts to the ladies to let them know they are loved by God no matter where their life has taken them. Within the gifts, they have our contact information, support group information, resources such as DVD's or inspirational material, bibles, and books. In 2012, BeLoved has expanded into Miami, Florida, which has over 400 sex related businesses. Some of the programs include: peer mentoring, BeLoved support groups, drop in centers, and care packages.

We NEGU, Do You?

   We have already reached out to several global non-profit organizations hoping to secure their permission to feature them on Gorilla Stock. We've had outstanding response! And as a result, we have our first very fun announcement...

   Gorilla Stock is pumped to welcome NEGU as our first confirmed non-profit organization that will be featured on our website, due to launch late-2012! We get the privilege of partnering with our sellers to help fund this outstanding organization.

   NEGU stands for NEVER EVER GIVE UP! This was the motto for Jessie Rees during her 10 month courageous fight with two inoperable brain tumors. It kept her going after doctor visits, chemotherapy, radiation, loss of vision, loss of hearing, and constant headaches. Jessie's motto to Never Ever Give Up continues to inspire thousands of people to NEGU in life no matter what! This little message of hope, perseverance and strength has been adopted by a massive team known as TeamNEGU made up of young and old around the world.

   On, April 8, 2011 Jessie shared her wish with her parents that she wanted to find a way to encourage every kid fighting cancer to "NEGU". Out of "Jessie's Wish" came the idea of JoyJars. These JoyJars are sent to children across the world to spread hope, joy, and love. JoyJars are filled with fun new toys and activities AND are 100% free. As of May 2012, over 15,000 JoyJars have been stuffed and sent to courageous kids.

This is the beginning...

     So, here we go on this whirlwind adventure that God birthed in my heart back in November 2011. It has been a slow process...thinking, praying, asking God for direction. It seems that little by little He as guided our footsteps and we are finally getting the go ahead to start some serious progress on this dream called Gorilla Stock.
     Gorilla Stock is a multi-media company with a purpose. We will be selling stock video, photography, and audio via download on our website that is set to launch later this year. Ok, so we are a stock footage business. What will make us different? Lots of things will differentiate us from the competition, but the biggest difference will be that Gorilla Stock's main goal is to give back to our world. We will partner with our sellers by giving them the option to donate up to 10% of their profit to one of the 8 non-profit organizations that we have offered. Gorilla Stock will then match up to that 10% so that the impact is doubled. We will get to impact and change our world for the better...together. It doesn't get much better than that.
     So, I know that many of you are ready to get started...we will be looking for videos, photos, sound effects, music, Lower Thirds, & After Effects. We will be accepting uploads very soon. Stay tuned!
